A couple of weeks ago I photographed my fourth Colorado Walk of Hope - a yearly fundraising walk put on by RESOLVE: the National Infertility Association. It is such an inspiring event! Having gone through infertility myself I sometimes want to just forget what it felt like when I was in the trenches of my journey. Attending this event reminds me of why it's important to not bury the past. Every day new families enter the world of infertility - it's a club that no one wants to join. The RESOLVE network makes sure that these families are provided with a safe place to find information and support.
One couple recognized me from last year's walk - when they had been in the midst of fertility treatments. This year they walked again, but this time with their three month old baby girl! It's stories like these that give others hope - knowing that you are not alone can provide much needed comfort during a journey that can be very lonely and isolating.
I ran into the doctor that I worked with at CU Advanced Reproductive Medicine - Dr. Santoro helped us have our second daughter. It was fun to show her how big Evy is getting!
